HSE 1960 Grand Reserve is a real treasure that Habitation Saint-Étienne offers to lovers of great bottles.
A vintage counted among the oldest in the world, this ageless rum is a true gem which reveals incomparable aromas, tributes to the centuries-old know-how of the distillery and of Martinique as a whole.

Distilled in 1960 and passing through generations until its bottling, the Grande Réserve resisted the closure of the distillery in 1988 before the new management team enhanced it by continuing to mature.

Fans are entitled to a unique tasting experience where the island terroir and the long years spent in oak barrels are expressed.

Tasting note

The result of the long aging and maturation process, the color of HSE 1960 Grande Réserve is a beautiful amber color with astonishing red highlights. The leg is thick.
On the nose, there is harmony between notes of roasted Ethiopian mocha, old leather and dried fruits. Everything is expressed in a perfect harmony that time has granted.

The mouthfeel is also balanced with a gentle attack. The aromas appreciated on the nose are confirmed in intensity and the length of this vintage allows the tasting to continue to unsuspected limits.
