Le Cheval Bon Dieu is the name given in the West Indies to the stick insect, represented on the label which adorns the bottle.

This is therefore also the name given to this vintage of A 1710 , which has the particularity of being the first aged rum - in other words aged in wood - of the brand.

It is a blend of different vintages resulting from a distillation carried out by the "Belle Aline", nickname given to the farm's seven-plate still, and aged in French and American oak barrels for 18 to 36 months.

We find in this 2020 Vintage what we liked in the previous versions.

Tasting Notes

A pretty, rather light amber color.

Gingerbread and honey compose a particularly delicious aromatic profile, evolving towards fresh cane.

On the palate, we recognize very present fruity notes such as blackcurrant, but also coffee and vanilla.

The finish ends with woody and spicy flavors.
